Principal's Message

Life is an interesting cycle of learning, unlearning and relearning. How excited we are as parents when our baby displays antics and worried when the repetitive behaviour changes into a new action. In a baby’s daily routine, most actions other than food and cleansing rituals, are spontaneous. And that’s what charms their caregivers.

Growing up years or the formative years of all developments- cognitive, affective and psychomotor- depend largely on what the child is being exposed to both by the parents and school.
The world is derecognising existing ways of learning. The pedagogies have evolved keeping in view the needs of all kinds of learners. Jobs are constantly evolving. This paradigm shift is an enabler for us to create the right learning environment.

Classrooms of today are different. Learning is participatory giving voice and choice to the curious minds. Self-assessment, peer learning, self – evaluation and observation are scoring over the mandatory pen and paper evaluation once/ twice a year.
The teacher leads them into learning and propels them to explore and engage and create their own learning path. Multiple ways of thinking are being introduced and practised so as to build the crucial 21st century skill.

Don Bosco believed in the power of the youth, their creativity, skill , confidence and compassionate approach. Today’s NEP and NCF dream about nothing different than what was envisioned two hundred years ago by Don Bosco. At Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul , we constantly explore new and suitable pedagogies to not only strengthen academic abilities but also lay emphasis on physical development , character and citizenship building through values and loving kindness, sustainable living and digital citizenship habits.  A pandora’s box indeed.

Parental involvement in a child’s upbringing is a great support to the school . We understand the challenges and strengths of not only the learner but also the family and their environment.  Society can flourish when each family is happy and school is the microcosm of the larger community. Let’s raise happy children and create a happier society at Don Bosco.

In the process of growing up to be beautiful human beings let us handhold them yet
let children be children, let us let them learn from mistakes, fall down and get hurt, handle their own pressure and create their own sunshine. They always have our back.
