Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul organized a series of activities to raise awareness about mental health, emphasizing the importance of emotional well-being for students, teachers, and parents. Commencing on October 10, 2023, in celebration of World Mental Health Day, the school initiated a morning talk focusing on the day’s theme. This aimed to shed light on the significance of mental health and its role in overall well-being. A workshop for teachers was conducted on the same day, providing educators with experiential insights into mental health and self-care practices. The school extended its efforts beyond a single day, launching the #WellnessWithDBN Challenge from October 11th to 18th. Further, another session was conducted to reflect on the mental health of students and how to help them cope with it. The #WellnessWithDBN Challenge encouraged active participation through various self-care practices, such as the Gratitude Snap, Mindful Moments, Cook with Love, Fitness Fun, and the Self-Care Saga. Students were invited to contribute by writing their challenges on a leaf cutout, adding to the ‘POSITIVITREE,’ symbolizing growth and positivity.
