The investiture ceremony held at Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Lower primary section on 5th July 2023 was a momentous occasion, marking the induction of the new school council and house captains. Investiture Ceremony Highlights: Welcoming Dignitaries: Dignitaries who attended the Investiture ceremony were Rector Rev Fr Barnabe D’Souza, Principal, Mrs Sangita Bhattacharya, Headmistress Jyotsna Ma’am. They were escorted and welcomed to the stage by the students of lower primary section. School Council Induction: The investiture ceremony commenced with the induction of the new school council. The council members, representing different positions of responsibility, were selected based on their academic excellence, leadership skills, and exemplary conduct. The efficient school council, comprising students of integrity and dedication, promises to guide the student body towards academic, cultural, and sports achievements while maintaining discipline throughout the academic year. Captains of the Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow House: Following the school council induction, the newly appointed captains of the Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow House along with the prefects and monitors of every class were sworn in. These house captains demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, along with their active participation in various extracurricular activities. Their appointment signifies their commitment to promote healthy competition, teamwork, and discipline among the students within their respective houses. Oath-Taking Ceremony: The investiture ceremony reached its pinnacle with the oath-taking ceremony. The school council members and house captains stepped forward to pledge their allegiance to the school, promising to fulfil their responsibilities with utmost sincerity and dedication. Don Bosco Senior Secondary School in Nerul celebrated the feast of St. Dominic Savio on 6th July with their annual event, ‘Monsoon Madness’. This event has become a highly anticipated tradition at the school, where students eagerly participate in a variety of games and sports, accompanied by the joy of playing in the rain. The event began with a series of telly games specially organized for students from grade VI to VIII. These games included the Balloon Train Relay, Ring Pass Relay, and Chain Relay. For students from grade IX to XII, a range of energetic sports activities awaited them, including dodgeball, handball, volleyball, and football.
